The partners behind Time to Change
The partners behind Time to Change are Mind, and Rethink Mental Illness.
Mind is the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. Its vision is of a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all, and that treats people with experience of mental illness fairly, positively and with respect.
It provides information and support, campaigns to improve policy and attitudes and develops local services through a network of nearly 200 local Mind associations.
Rethink Mental Illness is the largest national voluntary sector provider of mental health services. It is a membership charity that works to help people affected by severe mental illness recover a better quality of life. It provides information, services and support to make a practical and positive difference to them, and also their carers, employers and professionals who work with them.
Our aim is to provide hope and empowerment through its services and support and has campaigned for 30 years to end prejudice and discrimination.
Previous partners
The Institute of Psychiatry is based at King’s College London and is a major international centre for the evaluation of stigma and discrimination in relation to mental health. It has a strong record of involving service users and in the first phase of Time to Change was an independent evalutation partner. It will continue to provide some evaluation in the second phase.
Our other original partner, Mental Health Media, has merged to become part of Mind.
