National organisations challenging discrimination and improving wellbeing

Shift

Shift is an initiative to tackle stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues in England. Shift builds on the mind out for mental health campaign, which ran from 2001 to April 2004 and was established in 2004 following a plan called "From Here to Equality". The initiative is part of the National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE), a Government-funded organisation that works to improve the quality of life of people of all ages who experience mental health problems. Ecominds

As part of the Big Lottery Fund's Changing Spaces programme, Mind is
running an open grant scheme funding projects around England over the
next five years.  These projects will integrate mental health service
users into the community through environmental projects that help
improve physical and mental wellbeing. Find out more

Princes Trust

The Princes Trust is a youth charity, that believes that wellbeing is crucial to ensuring that all young people can learn, achieve and fulfil their potential.  The Trust has launched a wellbeing campaign to raise awareness of the range of issues young people face in their day-to-day lives.
