For this blog, I'm writing as a representative of St Helens Mental Health Forum here in Merseyside. I'm the Chair of the group which has over 100 members aiming to improve services for people, like ourselves, with experience of distress. At a recent network meeting, I got talking to a member of the Hate Crimes Unit of the local Police force. We had a quick discussion about how we could work together to raise awareness about the discrimination experienced by people with distress. This blog will describe our progress with this project.
We'd welcome your feedback and would love to know what's happenning in other parts of the country.
