The Afiya Trust is a national organisation that works to reduce inequality in health and social care.

Their project will be run nationally by an advisory group of ten people from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, who also have experience of mental health problems. The group will support local BME organisations to organise and run events, that will encourage people from these communities to change their preconceptions and ideas about mental illness. Afiya will also run larger regional events for employers, schools, colleges and charities.
