Time to Challenge
We all have mental health. And the fact is we are all vulnerable.
In fact, 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem at some point in their lives. This could be you, a member of your family, a friend or colleague. It affects us all - it doesn’t matter whether we’ve had a mental health problem before or not.
Yet having a mental health problem is still taboo, especially in the workplace. So we hide away any problems in shame and try to battle on. By taking some simple steps, we could all lead healthier, happier, more productive working lives. It’s not difficult. It’s not expensive. Quite the opposite.
When our employers support our mental and physical wellbeing, we enjoy work more, take less time off sick and reach our true potential. And of course, happy, healthy workers are better placed to achieve the company’s goals. So that’s good news for everyone.
