About Time to Get Moving

Time to Get Moving events are a great way to end stigma and promote better wellbeing, through getting active together. It’s by socialising and getting to know one another on an equal basis that attitudes and prejudices about mental health are challenged. 

How does Time to Get Moving combat stigma?

It has been shown that it is through social contact, when people with and without experience of mental health problems come together, that you get to know one another and the stigma around mental health problems get broken down.  

Get organising!

Organise your own Time to Get Moving event and we will support you all the way with:

  • access to an online toolkit, including event tips and advice
  • a dedicated event line to answer your queries
  • your event being promoted on our website
  • free marketing materials
  • free Time to Change merchandise for all your participants
  • tips and support to engage your local media.
