Deborah was determined to make sure her event was a success. She advertised by knocking on doors, putting flyers through letterboxes, and pinning up posters in her local community. Not every event or activity needs to be advertised, but if yours does, where could you advertise it? How could you make sure that people came along who didn't already know about mental health?
Deborah advises other Champions to try asking local businesses if they could donate to the event. She also got her housing association to print off flyers and her neighbours were happy to bring food. Who could you approach in your community to help provide some of the things you need for your event? Take a look here for some ideas of how to plan this.
