As a Champion you will create opportunities where you can start up conversations about mental health within your workplace. Getting colleagues to talk more openly about mental health could lead to a change in the way they think and act about mental health. How you do this is completely up to you and we encourage you to be as creative as you like. Please note that activities may need to be signed off so please check with your organisation, usually it is the Pledge Lead who will sign off activities.

Also consider that our day-to-day roles can be very demanding and time can be scarce. With this in mind, we have not set time commitments because we want Champions to undertake activities that they can realistically do and are comfortable in doing so.

Every activity, no matter how big or small it may seem, is an important and significant contribution towards our collective goal of getting colleagues to change the way they think and act about mental health.

With your support we can end that culture of silence and stigma so that people in our workplaces and in our country can easily get the support that they need.
