LiverpoolSU is committed to changing behaviours and attitudes around mental health in 2014.  Our year-long campaign has three elements;

Raising awareness -Challenging stigma - Improving our practises

We have already completed a student survey to help us understand what our members know and think about mental health. Using these results we are planning a mental health fair on 19th February to give students an opportunity to learn more about the diversity of issues of mental health issues. Using the same results, we will launch an anti-stigma campaign, with posters and videos, challenging myths and misplaced fears. Finally, we will review our own practises as an organisation, ensuring that we are constantly challenging ourselves to be more accessible to our students and staff and better placed to play a positive role in the community.

With a student led campaign, we are confident of challenging ourselves to be better, by making LiverpoolSU more welcoming and easy to use. Here’s to an inspirational year.
