Kanda Kanda is a fast-paced agency that is passionate about regeneration and place-making. Kanda are committed to continuity improving mental health in the workplace and ensuring our staff are given the opportunity to share experiences and have safe spaces to enable them to do this. We have started a wellbeing group with key members of the team who have suffered or have experienced issues with mental health with families, friends and acquaintances. We have already announced our commitment to mental health improvement at our monthly company meeting in September and shared our initial thoughts on the action plan at the meeting in October. We are planning a joined-up approach with our management team, social committee and our wider staff. We would like to ensure that all staff are comfortable seeking help and support through various methods. We already have methods in place to address some of the key actions identified in our plan i.e. flexible working policies and working from home where feasible. Our head of engagement will be driving this forward through the management team and the wider staff ensuring that the programme maintains momentum and is implemented. We will work with you to ensure we have a training schedule for all staff, including utilising the tools on the time to change website. As we have expanded rapidly since our inception, we are keen to address these issues now, we acknowledge that we are a fast-paced agency and there needs to be a focus the main asset that makes us successful- our people! As we are a relatively small organisation, we feel that we can understand our staff on a more personal level and this means we can implement policies that will have a positive impact on their mental wellbeing. |
