The Media Officer role sits within the Time to Change Communications team. As Media Officer, you will share responsibility for raising the profile of Time to Change across a wide range of audiences and securing target levels of PR coverage across national, regional and specialist media outlets.
As part of the team, you will plan, deliver and evaluate Time to Change’s PR across key national campaigns and projects; manage reactive opportunities and respond to incoming enquiries to the press office. You will work closely with our bank of media volunteers, supporting them to share their experiences of living with a mental health problem in the media. You will be in regular contact with Time to Change spokespeople; colleagues in the Social Marketing; Digital and project teams as well as the media teams within our charity partners, Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.
Mind aims to ensure that the needs and interests of mental health service users, women, Black and Minority Ethnic communities, disabled people, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender and people of all ages are reflected in all its activities. You will be expected to contribute to this aim.
