About this pledge
Listers Group Ltd currently stands as one of the largest privately, and family owned automotive retail groups in the UK. Originally Coventry (Motors) Limited, its founders; Terry Lister and Keith Bradshaw purchased their first dealership and bodyshop in Coventry in 1979. Since then Listers has seen continued success and growth.
Listers currently boasts a portfolio representing some of the Country’s most recognised brands, such as VW, Audi, Jaguar and Land Rover. Their success has seen growth to in excess of 50 businesses and employs more than 2400 people.
Over the past few years, Listers has seen the importance of employee Mental Health and Wellbeing sore, not just in the financial performances of our businesses, but also in the wellbeing and happiness of our employees.
Happy employees make for a happy working environment; it reduces levels of absence, reduces the amount of grievances and ultimately creates a working environment that people are proud to be a part of. Given Listers Family heritage, being a part of a collective working environment is very important. It’s this ethos that has driven our success over the years.
Therefore irrespective of whether individuals have concerns outside of work, or alternatively pressures inside of work, as a Family run business, we aim to support them through these periods of time.
We are committing therefore to create an environment that empowers its employees to speak up about their mental health issues by giving them confidence in which to do so. As well as giving them the tools, resources and support they need to work through difficult times.
In being supportive and aware that so many of us are affected, on many levels, by Mental Health issues it is our aim to underpin the business with the highest standards of support. By being a part of the Time to Change movement, we are giving our commitment to driving change within our businesses.
