About this pledge

Stress is one of the highest reasons for sickness absence by Council employees. As one of the largest employers in the Borough we are keen to reduce this figure and further enhance the range of measures already in place to support staff experiencing mental ill health .  The measures also aim to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and to equip all Royal Greenwich staff with the skill and information to discuss and gain understanding of support available to improve both their own and their colleagues mental health.
