Time to Change grants fund – children and young people

20% of the grants that we award will go to projects working with children and young people (24 years and under)

The purpose of the Children and Young People grants is to add to the delivery of the Time to Change Children and Young People programme.

The Children and Young People Programme aims to improve the attitudes of childen and young people towards their peers with mental health problems. The programme works in two separate regions with different demographics and characteristics. We have initially piloted the programme in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Going forwards, we will deliver the programme in the South East, with a focus on Kent and Medway.

The children and young people grants for rounds 3 and 4 will centre on the new pilot site: the South East.

We are looking for two kinds of application:

  • Small and medium sized grant - between £10,000 and £20,000 (small) or up to £40,000 (medium) - working with children and young people in the South East
  • Large grant or flagship grant - up to £80,000 (large) or £100,000 (flagship) - working with children and young people in at least two regions, one of which must be the South East.

We are happy to receive applications that involve work in any part of the South East and are particularly keen to encourage applications that focus on Kent and Medway.
