Early next year, Time to Change will be launching a new campaign. We’ll be asking people to show a friend or family member with a mental health problem that they’re there to listen and support them if they need it …

Starting a conversation about mental health might seem difficult or awkward, but it you don’t have to be an expert - it can be as simple as asking someone if they fancy a cup of tea and a chat.

We were really pleased that some of the guests at the recent Mind Media Awards signed the Time to Change Pledge promising to be there to support others.

Frankie Sandford, from girl group The Saturdays, who has spoken openly about her struggle with depression, pledged to do her best ‘to raise awareness of mental health problems’:

Footballer Wayne Bridge, Frankie’s boyfriend, then pledged his to support Frankie and other friends:

TV/radio presenters The Mac Twins then signed up too. Lisa Macfarlane pledged to talk openly about her mental health problems, while Alana Macfarlane pledged to support her and others living with mental health problems.

Louise Goux-Wirth, one of our Time to Change Champions, then pledged with a simple but very important message:

We’ll be in touch soon with more about our new campaign.

In the meantime, you can still make your pledge today!
