University and football club among the latest to pledge to end mental health discrimination.
Some exciting new organisations have committed to tackling mental health discrimination recently by signing the Time to Change pledge.
Not only that, but they've been putting on some innovative activity to mark the occasion. Here's a look at what two of our recent pledgers got up to...
University of Oxford
The university with the dreaming spires made it a double whammy by signing not one, but two pledges on 8 March 2012. Seb Baird, Vice President for Welfare and Opportunities, signed on behalf of the student union whilst Sally Mapstone, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education signed for the university itself.
They marked the signing with a drinks reception, which also launched the student union's (OUSU) Mind Your Head campaign - a mental health awareness campaign that runs information events around Oxford for students who want to learn more about mental illness.
The campaign has been running since October 2011 and their website has had over 17 000 hits in the last two months alone - not bad!
Oxford is the fourth university to sign the pledge - we hope that other universities across England will follow suit and take inspiration from their good work.
Sheffield United
Not wishing to make their pledge quietly, United signed in front of a crowd of 18 000 on 14 April. The signing took place at half time during their match against Leyton Orient at their home ground, Bramall Lane. They also showed the Time to Change advert on the stadium's screens during the match, and ran articles in the match day programme and on their website.
The event was a follow-up to a mental health awareness day they ran in February during a home game against Preston North End, which promoted mental health awareness to their fans.
The pledge board is now proudly on display at Bramall Lane - which will hopefully encourage visiting clubs to follow suit!
