Time to Change Leeds is led by the Leeds Health and Wellbeing Board. It is a partnership between Leeds City Council, Space2Leeds Mind (and Mindful Employer), Touchstone and West Yorkshire Police, as well as local Time to Change champions and regional co-ordinators.

Champions can get involved with the Leeds Hub in a number of ways, from helping to plan Social Contact events as part of the contact group, helping to promote the Champions Fund, or influencing the strategy and approach of the hub as part of the Steering Group.

Highlights of our work so far

To mark World Mental Health Day in October, a group of Champions worked with renowned performance poet Michelle Scally Clarke to create poetry based on their lived experience of mental health problems. They then performed their work at an event which also launched the Leeds Champions Fund.

Champions planned and delivered a Social Contact ‘Quiz and Chat’ event for Time to Talk Day in February. The event was held in a community café and was very busy with lots of positive conversations taking place.

Being involved in the hub has allowed Champions to reach a wide range of audiences with their message, including workplaces, training sessions for professionals, community settings and even a training event for MPs and councillors from across the Yorkshire and Humberside region.
