Who are Time to Change Sutton?
We are a social movement aiming to change the way people think and act about mental health in the London Borough of Sutton.
Our Hub is coordinated by Community Action Sutton, and works in partnership with:
- Sutton Council
- Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group
- A number of voluntary and community organisations, including Sutton Mental Health Foundation
- Sutton 1 in 4 Network
How does Time to Change Sutton work?
The Sutton Time to Change Hub meets regularly to explore different ways to work towards ending the stigma around mental health.
During Mental Health Awareness Week 2019, the Hub partners came together to hold a series of activities and events to raise awareness and encourage people to talk. The Hub also held a “Chat to Change” conference where people with lived experience of a mental health problem were invited to share their stories. Participants also heard from guest speakers from Healthwatch Sutton and Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group, and had the opportunity to find out more about becoming a Time to Change Champion.
Following the success of the activities, events and conference, the Hub is keen to do the same next year.
How can I get involved?
- If you are a voluntary or community organisation that’s keen to get involved, why not join our Hub?
- If you have lived experience of a mental health problem, you could become a Time to Change Champion
