Photographer Lorraine Goddard is exhibiting a collection of her work in a bid to raise awareness of mental health. The exhibition entitled 'Out of Context' focuses on 50 people in the public eye doing thing that make happy.
The ex-wife of musician Adam Ant passionate support of mental health issues stems from having witnessed at first hand the effects of depression on her former husband. Lorraine's experience has driven her to raise awareness of positive mental health and reduce the stigma.
Lorraine explained 'I have photographed over 40 people over the last few years for my project. Depression is one of the last taboo's since AIDS. Everybody knows somebody that has suffered directly or indirectly and my aim is to help lift the stigma attached to it'
Louise Garczewska of the Getty Images Gallery says 'We're delighted to support Lorraine who has worked so hard on this project. We hope the images in this unique exhibition will help remove the stigma surrounding mental illness.'
The exhibition runs from 20 - 30 January, 10am to 6pm at the Getty Images Galler.
