Time to Change Schizo: The Movie trailer, that was launched online as part of its 2009 summer campaign, has won Best Use of Video at the 2010 Revolution Awards.
The 2010 Revolution Awards, that took place last night at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane London, celebrate digital excellence, and recognise how innovation leaves a special impression on the minds of website visitors or mobile users.
The expert panel of judges for the awards was made up by some of the most influential experts in digital marketing, including Revolution Editor Gareth Jones and Trevor Johnson, head of strategy and planning at Facebook. The panel of judges concluded that Time to Change used video as a vehicle to place a hard-hitting message about the prejudice associated with mental illness in front of consumers.
The concept for the trailer was developed for Time to Change by creative agency MCBD and was then produced by Steam and MPC so a huge thank you to all of them for their hard work and for producing a powerful piece of video that really worked to get people to reconsider their attitudes. It managed to take people on a journey from a point of fear and stereotyping, all the way to realising that people with mental health problems are not in fact like the stereotypes.
Schizo:The Movie will be showing in 1,750 cinemas across England for three weeks during April 2010, with the first screening taking place on Monday 23 April. Find out more about this and all the other exciting activity that will be taking place as part of the Time to Change spring 2010 campaign.
