Time to Change has teamed up with football's equality and inclusion campaign, Kick it Out, to celebrate its One Game, One Community weeks of action in October coinciding with Time to Get Moving week.

Time to Change works with premiership football clubs as part of the Imagine your Goals project, funded by Comic Relief and the Premier League. This year we are asking clubs to include a mental health focused event as part of their One Game One Community weeks of action timetable.

Mental health discrimination is a huge problem throughout society, with nine out of 10 people who experience mental health problems saying that stigma is one of the biggest barriers to recovery, wellbeing and being able to lead an active life. Just like racism, discrimination against people with mental health problems has no place in today's society, and so Time to Get Moving events aim to bring people together to raise awareness of mental health issues and show that it's time to change.

In joining with Kick it Out, Time to Get Moving events will ensure that mental health discrimination is recognised as a real obstacle to participation and involvement and begin to address the issues, starting with the football community.

Time to Change's Time to Get Moving, combats stigma through sociable physical activity, breaking down the barriers which cause stigma and discrimination. Last year Chelsea FC, celebrated the occasion by presenting a trophy to the winner of a Time to Get Moving/One Game One Community tournament at halftime of their world mental health day match against Liverpool.
