Who are Time to Change Medway?
The Medway Hub works with people with lived experience of mental health problems and partners in the community. We run local campaigns and events to encourage more people to speak out about mental health.
Talking about mental health is vital in breaking down stigma. Despite the progress made we know that many people still don’t think mental health is relevant to them. That’s why we’re focusing our efforts on reaching more people, with a focus on employers and men.
The Time to Change Medway Hub is supported by Medway Council working in partnership with local voluntary sector organisations such as:
Become a Time to Change Champion
Do you want to empower people with mental health problems to speak out? To encourage them to share their stories and help reduce stigma? If you live or work in the Medway area and want to help, then we want to hear from you.
We will support you in becoming a Medway Time to Change Champion through training and guidance.
If you would like to be a part of the development of the Hub and the campaign, get in touch at TTCmedwaychampions@porchlight.org.uk
Bright Ideas Community Fund
When people talk to each other and establish common ground, prejudices and assumptions are often challenged and replaced with mutual understanding and respect. This can lead to changes in attitudes and behaviours. That’s why we’re launching the Bright Ideas Community Fund, to get people talking. If you have a creative idea on how to reduce mental health stigma in Medway, then you can apply for funding.
- Take a look at the communities fund application guide V5.pdf to see if you are eligible to apply.
- To apply for the funding please complete the Bright Ideas fund application formV3.pdf.
