Who are Time to Change Bath and North East Somerset?

We are a social movement aiming to change the way people think and act about mental health in Bath and North East Somerset. Time to Change’s Bath and North East Somerset Hub is led by Bath Mind and hosted by Public Health.

How does Time to Change Bath and North East Somerset work?

We are working with local community groups, Champions, schools and workplaces to end mental health stigma and discrimination. We are currently:

  • Working with wellbeing groups to open up the conversation about mental health and stigma. This has culminated in exhibitions for Mental Health Awareness Week and other events, in which participants display their art and photography in the wellbeing groups and raise awareness about the role of the groups in improving mental health.
  • Planning a training day for Champions in Bath in late September/early October. We will be inviting Champions from all over Bath and North East Somerset to attend.
  • Working with different film makers to create anti-stigma videos.
  • Working with the Time to Change South West coordinator for children and young people, to help ensure this generation are more open to mental health than any before.

In October 2018, Bath Mind signed the Time to Change Employer Pledge to demonstrate our commitment to changing how we think and act about mental health in the workplace and make sure all employees feel supported when it comes to their mental health.

We now promote the campaign as part of our Wellbeing in the Workplace scheme, by encouraging and supporting other local employers to do the same and join the movement.
