What is Time to Talk Day?

Time to Talk Day 2020 will take place on Thursday 6 February. With 1 in 4 of us experiencing a mental health problem in any given year, there has never been a better time for your workplace to get involved in Time to Talk Day.

The more conversations we have about mental health, the more myths we can bust and barriers we can break down – helping to end the isolation, shame and worthlessness that too many of us feel when experiencing a mental health problem.

The day provides an opportunity for you and your organisation to add to the wider conversation that will be occurring on social media, television and elsewhere. Highlight the fantastic work you're already doing to address mental health stigma in the workplace, and introduce new and targeted activities anchored to the event.

What Time to Change activities can you deliver?

This Time to Talk Day, we encourage you all to consider how you can create awareness raising opportunities for all your staff, raising their overall level of understanding of mental health.

Games, social events and activities can be fantastic opportunities to start up a mental health conversation in a way that doesn’t appear intimidating or awkward.

With this in mind, in this year’s Time to Talk Day Activity Pack you’ll find ten games curated by the Time to Change Employers Team to introduce to your organisation to kick start these conversations alongside a suite of resources, digital assets and templates to support you on in the run up to the day.
