Watch Jessica Jayne's vlog about the small things her friend Harvey does to help her with her mental health.

Jessica Jayne: Hi I'm Jessica Jayne, and I'm here to talk to you about the #smallthings campaign that Time to Change is running. This campaign is all about the small things you can do to help others when they are going through a hard time.

Whenever I'm feeling really down or anxious or I'm just going through a bit of a rough patch, I will message my friend Harvey and he will always call me or tell me to call him. He'll just sit on the other end of the phone while I ramble on to him and talk to him about my issues, and what is going on in my life at the moment that's making things so difficult.

I don't think people realise the impact that it can have on someone to just listen to them. Just knowing that there's someone on the other end of the phone, to talk to when I'm feeling really low or anxious, it makes a massive world of difference.

I don't know what I'd do without my best friend, and even though he's miles and miles and miles away from me, it makes me feel so much better knowing that he's just on the other side of the phone.

If you want to hear about this from the other person's perspective, here's my friend Harvey to tell you how he feels doing this small thing for me.

Harvey: when she's feeling low, or stressed, or mentally unwell, she'll call me, or I'll call her, and we'll just talk the situation through. Having somebody on the end of the phone really, really does help. It's a small thing that I can do for her that makes a huge difference to her life. I know if I was in the same situation, she'd do the same for me.

Jessica Jayne: Find out the small things that you can do on Time to Change's website, the links will be in the description below. Make sure to check out the #smallthings trend on Twitter if you want to follow the campaign a bit more or if you want to know what other people have to say. And don't forget: it doesn't matter how small the gesture, it could have a huge impact on someone's mental wellbeing.
